Report a bug or ask for a feature
Help › Report a Bug and Help › Request a Feature in the app open a new issue on GitHub, with the app’s version and your macOS version filled in; you write the rest and send it yourself. Issues are public, so leave out tokens, keys and private addresses. You can also browse the open issues.
What’s new
Help › What’s New in Echolot shows the notes of each release, and every release with its downloads is on the releases page.
What you need
A Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later. No account.
Two editions
- The direct download from echolot.dev updates itself, carries the
echolotcommand-line tool and starts the programs you ask it to: MCP servers that run on your Mac and command-line AI agents. - The Mac App Store edition is updated by the App Store and runs in Apple’s sandbox, so it starts no programs: it works with MCP servers over HTTP, and its assistant with your own key or Apple Intelligence. Install the
echolotcommand-line tool from the releases page to connect AI agents such as Claude Code or Cursor.
Both open the same workspaces, so you can switch at any time.
Common questions
The questions on the home page cover moving in from other API clients, where your data lives, and what Echolot doesn’t do.
